Today I Occupy

I have decided to join the worldwide Occupy movement here in San Miguel de Allende ... here are a couple more videos from the weekend activities, minus the goat slaying, which is in progress ... some of you may not wish to view the goat slaying/fiesta video from Fortino's place ... anyway ...

Not much and quite a bit

Warbasse was a madman walking today. I'm hanging. It was a day of not much and quite a bit.

Tomorrow we slay the goat.

Today

OK, this morning I knocked out midwestauction.com by noon, we're heading up to the churches for a video report, we'll walk about the Jardin and get something to eat somewhere before happy hour back here. We have Okie State and the points and we'll watch the games tonight at Manolo's. That's pretty much a typical day anymore.

Except tomorrow.

Tomorrow will be unlike any other day in my life. Warbasse has taken a car wash guy named Fortino under his wing and helped their hopelessly poor family out. We'll be visiting them again this Sunday like we did last Sunday - except tomorrow we'll be slaughtering a goat in the morning before the big fiesta in the afternoon. A resourceful young woman in her 20s named Isabella will be doing the knife work. I hope I don't pass out.

We'll have a report on that deal for sure.

Interim Comments

In the section of this video dealing with Happy Hour, I have used the royal "we." All will be relieved to know that my host continues steadfastly in his abstinence from alcohol, and consequently México remains relatively intact.

As of the time of posting of this entry, I am watching the Cardinals play the Brewers at Manolo's Sports Bar in the company of the beautiful bartender Marianne. My host has stayed home this evening to edit and post this video on my blog. For further comments of the host, please go here.

Catching Up

Warbasse has posted an entry in his blog to catch you up on my Week One here. You will find a link to that entry on the right under My Blog List. "Wings Over México: Week One."

Dump me here again

Warbasse and I today went to the outskirts of San Miguel de Allende and visited a family Warbasse knew who had very little in material belongings. It was a dump, literally, the protrudings of a landfill. We had a great time.

We brought beer and ate fish. We entertained with stupid Spanish and viewed all their photos. We transported a washing machine and soaked in their smiles. The little one, Alan, is 1.

It was a very rich day.

Splendid scoring

Me and Warbasse took in a basketball game yesterday in the big public park ... I kept close track of the score(r) ...
